"Hadassah". You may recognize this word from the book of Esther, from the bible. Esther, a form of "haster" means "hidden" or "concealed". The name "Hadassah" holds special significance, as it was the original Hebrew name of Queen Esther from the Bible. By changing her name to Esther, she concealed her Jewish identity when she became queen.
Since that time it has come to represent compassion and is used as a name for a woman. Hadassah, signifying compassion, is a lovely name. May we all have hadassah in this world where the righteousness of God is all-to-often unseen but manifested through deed.

I, like many of you, have a wide array of interests. I started writing things about the Bible clear back in 2013. I started a website to share those things around 2017 under several different names and titles. Even though I’ve been building this website for several years, due to circumstances unforeseen to myself, it had to come down. Although I am rebuilding it, it may take some time to regenerate content. Even though so many of my articles have been lost over the years, I will do my best to recreate or just start over. Blessings and ahavah mishpachah!
